Child law Welcome to Sarah Hindle – Child Law Expert / Head of our Child Law Team Posted by Ian Walker September 6, 2020 Read more We are very pleased to welcome Child Law specialist solicitor, Sarah Hindle to our team as Head of our Child Law Team. Sarah has joined us from the leading London Child Law team of Bindmans LLP. Sarah’s legal career has been mostly in London, including with other leading Child Law firms; Creighton & Partners and Steel & Shamash (now Edwards Duthie Shamash). Sarah also enjoyed a short spell with Stone King LLP in Bath. In addition to being a longstanding member of the Law Society Children Panel, Sarah is also accredited as a Higher Rights Advocate. Sarah is very experienced in acting for parents, children (via their children’s guardian) and local authorities. She acted for one of the parties in Re A (Children) [2010] EWCA Civ 586 – regarding the construction of s5 of the Child Abduction & Custody Act 1985. A major coup Ian Walker says; We are delighted that Sarah has chosen to join our team. Sarah is clearly an outstanding lawyer and has considerable experience of acting for clients in complex cases with some of London’s leading child law firms. Over the last 12 months we have successfully completed a major restructure of our practice. We have relocated our Head office to our own smart modern offices in Pynes Hill on the edge of Exeter; we have been joined by Lauren Preedy (from Porter Dodson) as Head of our Divorce Team; Kris Seed (from Stephens Scown via Everys) as Head of our Private Law Children Team; Bridget Garrood (from Cartridges Law) – leading divorce and LGBT+ specialist as a consultant; and accountant, Paul Jacobs, FCCA (from Foot Anstey) as our Finance Manager. Along the way we were named Boutique Law Firm (11+ Employees) at the prestigious Modern Law Awards 2020 and I was highly commended as Practice Manager in the Law Society Recognising Excellence Awards 2019. Sarah is the final piece in our jigsaw. We have an outstanding team of family lawyers. Sarah will lead a Child Law Team including the outstanding Kim Stradling, Sandy Powell and myself (meaning we have 4 Children Panel members in our team) as well as former Children Panel Member and Child Law specialist;Nicole Phare. Our Child Law team is as strong as anyone else in the South West. Our Divorce and Private Law Children Teams are also fantastic and the same can also be said of them! I am so lucky to have gathered together such a great team of fantastic lawyers. The best thing is however how well everyone gets on and works together. It is the best team I have ever worked in. Sarah lived in Exeter as a child and is very pleased to have reconnected to our wonderful Devon coast and countryside. We hope that she has found her legal home with us for the rest of her career. Join our team? Whilst we have grown significantly over the last few years, we remain extremely busy and we are still actively recruiting. Our team is built around its people.
