Family law Welcome to Alice Beck/ You could join our team as well? Posted by Ian Walker December 7, 2020 Read more Welcome to Alice Beck We are absolutely delighted to welcome Alice Beck to our team. Alice joined us today from fellow Devon Legal 500 Practice – Kitsons. Alice trained with Kitsons and upon qualification chose to specialise in family law. After a couple of years with Kitsons, Alice has chosen to widen her experience and we are delighted that she has chosen to join us ahead of other interested firms. Alice is a committee member for Devon YRES (Young Resolution) and joins a team which is very committed to the values of Resolution. This means that our family law team now consists of 11 qualified lawyers – with two more to join in January and another in March. In addition, we now have three trainee solicitors and a trainee legal executive with four more prospective lawyers in our support team. Altogether we are one of the largest family law teams in the South-West. 2020 has been a massive year for our practice. Prior to the March 2020 lock-down we had exchanged contracts on the lease for our new offices in Exeter and we were already committed to a period of expansion. Fortunately, everything has gone well despite the significant challenges. Most of our team worked through the spring lock-down emerged (the courts were open and as providers of essential services so were we) and by the time of our move at the end of June everyone was back at work and we had a bigger team than in March. We have added to what was already a very experienced team and in September 2020 gained recognition in the Legal 500 Directory as a leading Family Law Team. We have been conscious of the need to recruit future talent into the team (hence our training programme) and Alice’s recruitment is very much part of a business plan to be developing our next generation of expert and specialist family lawyers. Welcome to the team Alice…. We hope you enjoy a long career with us… You could join our team as well? Such has been the demand for our services we continue to grow. We are looking forward to announce our next additions in 2021. However it is also clear that we still have room for further growth and we are still very much on the lookout for further family lawyers to join our team. Below is our current job advertisement (from the website of the Devon and Somerset Law Society).
