Uncategorized Christmas Opening 2015 Appointments for Advice Posted by Ian Walker December 22, 2015 Read more Christmas Opening 2015 Appointments for Advice Our last day in the office this year will be Wednesday, 23 December 2015. The office will close at 4 PM. We will then reopen at 9 AM on Monday 04 January 2016. We are able to offer new client appointments in the week commencing 04 January 2016 We have appointments available for both existing and new clients during the week commencing Monday 04 January 2016. If you would like to make an appointment then please feel able either to email [email protected] or to use the website contact form or to telephone 03339390188. Whilst we will not be open to see clients over Christmas we do appreciate that situations may arise where clients would like to make arrangements to see us in order to obtain some advice as soon as possible at the beginning of January. Competitive Charges Family Law / Child Law/Divorce issues/problems/disputes are normally complicated and we have long since abandoned “free” half hour appointments. The charge for our initial meetings is £80 plus VAT for a full one-hour meeting including advice. We normally recommend that we then write to you setting out our advice. There is an extra charge for this, but this is by agreement. We work to competitive hourly charging rates. The hourly rate for Ian Walker is £160 per hour plus VAT. When Ian was a partner with a significant family law practice in Exeter a few years ago he was charged out to clients at in excess of £200 plus VAT per hour. The going rate for advice from a specialist partner level solicitor in Exeter is now in the region of £230 plus VAT or more. Please contact us to make an appointment If advice is needed then please do contact us (and let us have details of your availability) and we will do our best to fit you in at a convenient time/day after our return from the holiday. We will not be available for giving telephone advice. But this is something that we do not like to do anyway. In order to give advice we need to meet new clients and have enough time with them to be able to understand the issue properly. Seasons Greetings We would like to wish all of our clients a peaceful and Happy Christmas Related insights February 10, 2023, by Walker Family Law What is Sexual Abuse?
